    An interesting paper would be the security ramifications of implementing IPv6 in respect to your perimeter protection. With IPv6, data are encrypted from client to server bi-directionally. Allowing encrypted data past your perimeter firewall prevents your IPS/IDS from blocking malicious packets. I have heard that you can establish the VPN tunnels from the firewall out, but have not been able to find any good information on this anywhere. Researching this would likely prove to be difficult, but worthwhile in your career.
