If ordinary people can’t (or only with great difficulty) distribute their own content, and users can’t download that legitimate free content, then question becomes whether the internet is a web of connections between the people of the world or only between corporations and consumers.

    The only organization I can think of off the top of my head is the Electronic Frontier Foundation (or EFF.) They bill themselves as “…the leading civil liberties group defending your rights in the digital world.”
